SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 6, 2026  ·  NYCID text messaging program (NYCID Solutions App) — SYEP and NYCID community programs

1. Program description

When you opt in to text messages from New York Center for Interpersonal Development, Inc. ("NYCID"), you will receive NYCID program and service notifications sent through the NYCID Solutions App. These include: NYC Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) notifications such as worksite placement updates, orientation and first-day reminders, required-document and timesheet alerts, and schedule or date changes; community notifications such as community events, free services, and volunteer opportunities; emergency service notices; information about NYCID's conflict resolution and crisis management services; and two-way replies to questions you send our program staff.

2. How you opt in

Opting in is voluntary. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of enrolling in or participating in any NYCID program or service, creating an account, or completing any transaction with NYCID. You can opt in in two ways: (1) by texting JOIN, START, or YES to (929) 441-6650; or (2) by checking a separate, optional, unchecked consent checkbox on NYCID enrollment forms and web signup pages — leaving the box unchecked has no effect on your enrollment. For participants who are minors, a parent or guardian provides the mobile phone number and gives this consent. See our Text Message Program Opt-In page for full details.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency

Message frequency varies based on program activity. During the active summer program you may receive several messages per week.

4. Message and data rates

Rates disclosure

Message and data rates may apply. Charges depend on your mobile plan and are billed by your wireless carrier.

5. Opting out

Cancel at any time

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Text STOP to the number that messaged you. After you send STOP, we will send a final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and you will receive no further SMS messages from us. To rejoin, reply START or re-enroll through NYCID program staff.

6. Help and support

If you are experiencing issues with the messaging program, reply with the keyword HELP for assistance, or reach us directly:

7. Carrier disclaimer

Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.

8. Privacy

Your mobile number and opt-in data are handled as described in our SMS Privacy Policy. No mobile phone numbers or text messaging opt-in data will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted at this address with its effective date.
