This is the Older Youth internal placement tool — assigning OY to NYCID-run sites (Lehman tutoring, Lehman Hub, Tottenville, IAM), Journalism for All newsrooms, and Canarsie Campus STATS. Anyone placed here is automatically excluded from the main job-selection roster.
YY grouping moved out of this tool as of late May 2026 — the Admin Dashboard's 🖥️ YY Classrooms tab now handles Younger Youth classroom assignment directly off the Participant Dashboard responses. So you'll only use this tool for OY placement going forward.

Drop the full MASTER-ENROLLMENT-ALL-DATA export from YEPS — the one big file
with every YY and OY across Community-Based, School Based, and
Special Initiatives. The tool auto-detects the Program Type column and
tags each row, so this single upload populates the YY tabs, the NYCID Internal school filters, AND the
Sector-Focused / JFA / Community-Based pools that drive JFA + Canarsie placement. Embedded tab
characters in headers are normalized, blank Email fields are backfilled from Second Email, and
re-running upserts by Application ID — safe to drop a fresher master file whenever YEPS updates.
In most cases card 1 above does everything you need. Use this only when you want to load a smaller subset with your own custom label — for example, "JFA candidates" or "Canarsie STATS prospects" — that doesn't exist as a YEPS Program Type. Every row gets force-tagged with the label you pick. (Note: re-running card 1 later will overwrite this tag with the YEPS Program Type. If you need the custom tag to stick, re-run card 1b after.)
Pulls the current state of OY internal placements from Firestore — handy if another staff member has been assigning in parallel and you want the freshest counts.
A live count of everything the tool can see, broken down by source, cohort, and school. Use this to answer "did we seed that?" without guessing. If a school or program looks empty here, the right next step is to load it via cards 1 or 1b above.
Three programs live on this tab: NYCID Internal (Lehman tutoring/Hub, Tottenville, IAM — drawn from the live compliance roster by school), Journalism for All (10 newsrooms — manually added by the case manager from SF/Year-Round on master enrollment, since there's no consolidated JFA roster), and Canarsie Campus STATS (manually added from SF + Community Based Lottery for OY). One placement per youth across all three. Anyone placed here is automatically blocked from the main job-selection roster — the job picker tells them they're already placed.
Pick a Career Ready school for the NYCID Internal sites, or a program (Sector Focused / Community Based) for JFA and Canarsie. The case manager picks the right youth and assigns them with the dropdown on each row. If a youth isn't in the roster at all, use Add a youth manually below.

Manually place Older Youth at any worksite in the live jobs collection —
the same sites the youth job picker shows. Pick a site, pull in the youth a worksite picked offline (from the
Worksite Youth Picker), or multi-select youth yourself, then assign them all in one click. Each assignment
writes to the youth's dashboard placement (they immediately see the worksite, address, and a map)
and records the placement on their application so it flows into the admin dashboard, the worksite
roster, and the official-confirmation workflow. Anyone placed here is also blocked from re-picking a job.

Internal sites currently store a site code (not a roster Worksite #), so the youth
dashboard can't show their address / details. If a site is on your master roster (the live
jobs collection), link it below and port its youth into the same connected placement flow your
external job-site placements use — then their dashboards show the full site details. Matches are
auto-proposed by name — check each one before porting.
